You will discover the fascinating history of Antibes, created by the Greeks and extended by the Romans, then devastated by the Barbarians and fortified under the reign of Henri IV and Louis XIV.
You will appreciate the beauty of its medieval town, its ramparts along the sea, its Provencal market, the famous Port Vauban (largest European marina) and the flowery “Safranier” district.
Fridays, 10 am( except the 25th): Guided tour “The painters’ trail” in Antibes
We invite you to discover Antibes through the eyes of great painters from the 19th and 20th centuries who loved and painted the city and its landscapes.
Thanks to panels put in place on sites where the originals were painted, you can follow in the footsteps of those artists and understand how they became fascinated by the magical colours and extraordinary light of the French Riviera.
Every other Saturday (June 12th and 26th ), 10 am: Guided tour “Artists and the Mediterranean Sea”
Come to visit Antibes, a land of inspiration for several artists who lived or stayed there.
You will discover magical Mediterranean places that Picasso, Prévert, Graham Greene, Kazantzakis and many others fell in love with.
Every other Saturday (June 5th and 19th), 10 am: Guided Tour of Juan-les-Pins
Departure from the Tourist Office of Juan-les-Pins (in front of the jetty)
A discovery of the resort’s history, from its creation in the 19th century until today.
You will admire the hidden gems of Juan-les-Pins, which was already appreciated by Maupassant and Monet : The Belle Epoque villas and their lush gardens ; the palaces from the Roaring Twenties; the International stage of the pine grove Pinède Gould.
