Picasso museum is open every day except on Monday and the 1st January, 1st May, 1st November, 25th December.
• September 16th - June 14th: 10:00 - 13:00 / 14:00 -18:00
• June 15th - September 15th: 10:00 - 18:00
Ticket office closes at 12:30 and 17:30
“If you want to see the Picassos of Antibes, you must come to Antibes to see them.”
It is a new museum that the public will discover after two years of works, more accessible, easier to visit and providing better preservation conditions for the works displayed.
This reopening means that the museum collection can be visited once again and that temporary exhibitions can be organized.
This re-contextualization in the broader historical perspective of the artist’s production, from the immediate post-War period to the end of the 1940s, will help to place the ‘Picassos of Antibes’ in the particularly rich creative timeline of those happy years for which the painting La Joie de vivre is a sort of emblem.
Also to be discovered in the museum: works by Nicolas de Staël, Hans Hartung and Anna-Eva Bergman. To which must be added a very rich collection of Modern Art made up of exceptional gifts by artists having displayed their work in the Museum as well as purchases representing the main movements of 20th century art and the first years of the 21st century. The terrace of the Castle offers a permanent presentation of remarkable sculptures by Germaine Richier, Joan Miró, Bernard Pagès, Anne and Patrick Poirier...
