September 14th to 26th – Antibes Cathedral and Saint-Bernardin Chapel

The Antibes Sacred Music Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary. This birthday will highlight the patrimonial treasures of the commune with exceptional concerts within the Cathedral, the Saint-Bernardin Chapel, the Notre-Dame de la Garoupe Chapel and the church of Sainte-Anne Saint-Martin in Vallauris. Masterpieces from the repertoire, chamber music, sacred voices, for choirs, orchestras and soloists, will be the highlights of this festival. It is an opportunity to discover a brilliant repertoire often featuring little-known works.

Thursday 14th at 9pm: Antibes Cathedral

« Bach orchestral » with the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of Nice directed by Frédéric Deloche, with Robert Wächter (violin) and Philippe Depetris (flute). On the programme:  Suite N°2 BWV 1067, Concerto for violin N°1 in A minor BWV 1041, Brandenburg Concerto N°3 BWV 1048, Suite N°1 BWV 1068.

Saturday 16th at 9pm – Antibes Cathedral

« Nature and creation » with the Regional Orchestra of Cannes Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, directed by Benjamin Levy and Pauline Sabatier (mezzo-soprano). On the programme: André Cardinal Destouches, The Elements – Opening of the first part The Chaos; Jean-Sébastien Bach, « Laudamus te » for mezzo and orchestra - excerpt of Mass in B minor, BWV 232 « Erbarme dich » for mezzo and orchestra - excerpt of Saint-Matthew Passion ; Jean-Féry Rebel, the Elements - excerpts Loure « Earth and Water » - Chaconne « Fire » ; Antonio Vivaldi, « Gelido in Ogni vena » from Farnace ; Ludwig Van Beethoven, Symphony n°6 in F major, op.68 « Pastorale ».

Sunday 17th at 6pm – Church of Sainte-Anne Saint-Martin of Vallauris

“Sacred and secular polyphonies from the “Ile de Beauté” (Corsica) a capella” with the ensemble “Barbara Furtuna”.

Tuesday 19th at 9pm – Saint-Bernardin Chapel

“The voice of angels” with Vincent Lucas, Véronique Charpentron, Philippe Depetris (flutes), Fabien Charpentron (piano). On the programme, works by Vivaldi, Quantz and Cimarosa.

Masterclass organised in collaboration with the Music and Dramatic Arts Academy of Antibes Juan-les-Pins, featuring Vincent Lucas, flute soloist of the Paris Orchestra. From 4:15pm to 5:15pm –Concert by the students and teachers.

Friday 22nd at 9pm – Antibes Cathedral

“Solemn Vespers of the Confessor K 339” by Mozart and “Mass in C major” by Beethoven, performed by the Vocal Ensemble “Musiques en Jeux” and the Regional Orchestra of Cannes Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, directed by Alain Joutard. Starring Aude Fabre (soprano), Cristina Greco (mezzo- soprano), Patrick Garayt (tenor), and Ioan Hotenski (bass).

Saturday 23rd at 9pm – Antibes Cathedral

“Around the Requiem of Fauré” by the Regional Choir of Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur directed by Bruno Rastier and Nicole Blanchi starring Laurent Fievet (organist), Pauline Courtin (soprano) and Frédéric Cornille (baritone). On the programme: Fauré, Hymn of Jean Racine ; Poulenc, Litanies to the Black Madonna ; Poulenc, 4 little prayers by Saint François d’Assise ; Gounod, Ave Maria ; Franck, Panis Angelicus ; Fauré, Requiem in D major opus 48, version for solo organ of Lafargue.

Sunday 24th at 6pm – Chapel of Notre-Dame de la Garoupe

“One piano in the chapel” with Jean-Philippe Collard, pianist. On the programme: works by Jean-Sébastien Bach, Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt.

Tuesday 26th at 9pm – Saint-Bernardin Chapel

“Intimate Bach” with Marc Coppey (cello). On the programme: Suites by Jean-Sébastien Bach.
