Created in 1994, in Antibes, in the villa-workshop of Hans Hartung and Anna-Eva Bergman, essential figures of modern art, the Hartung-Bergman Foundation will be open to the public in May 2022 after two years of construction and development projects. These made it possible to invent modes of visits in its spaces and finally to open to the public this remarkable architectural ensemble inscribed in the heritage of the 20th century.
These new visit areas now include a reception building with shop and fast food, a park of olive trees, terraces, exhibition galleries, rehabilitated workshops, projection rooms. In May 2022, the first in situ exhibition “The Archives of Creation” will open.
In a few figures, it is now 1500 square meters of garden, 500 square meters of terrace, and 600 square meters of exhibition, mediation and workshop areas that are accessible and offer an immersion in an extraordinary place by the variety of its heritages: its buildings, its vegetation, its works, its archives. The whole has been adapted in order to be able to welcome the public PMR.
