  • ATTENTION: The coastal path around Fort Carré is closed until June. The path leading from Fort Carré to the Centre for Resources, Expertise and Sports Performance (Creps) is inaccessible due to major redevelopment work.

    The Fort Carré was one of the first fortified strongholds to be built in the Renaissance under the orders of the King of France, Henri II.
