  • Born in 1975, Aude Borromée is a sculptor, painter, and architect-designer. Initially a show jumper (training with a head equerry at the Cadre Noir in Saumur), she studied marketing in France and the United States before becoming an architect and artist. Born in 1975, Aude Borromée is a sculptor, painter, and architect-designer. Initially a show jumper (training with a head equerry at the Cadre Noir in Saumur), she studied marketing in France and the United States before becoming an architect and artist. Throughout her career, she developed a strong connection to the land, the natural and built environment, and the non-living, and an ability to understand space with her body, exploring it or translating it into her artistic work.

She follow drawing classes at the École Boulle in Paris, then studied architecture at the École de Paris La Villette. A freelance architect since 2009, she constructs buildings, designs interior spaces, and designs furniture at the intersection of architecture, scenography, and visual installation. Her works are already conceived as three-dimensional paintings.

Since 2014, her pictorial and then sculptural work has become more pronounced. In her work, she questions the connection between human beings and their environment through organic works, ambivalent between human and environmental bodies. By bearing witness to buried or imaginary memories, she reinvents the elements that surround us, recomposes bodies, and seeks to repair our relationship with the living.

Among her achievements, she has staged and exhibited an 11-meter polyptych at the Mercier & Associés gallery in Paris. She was invited by Clément Sauvoy in Montreuil for a group exhibition, and has also exhibited at the Atelier Barillet by Mallet Stevens in Paris. She has participated in several art fairs such as Réalités Nouvelles, Mac2000 Paris, and the Estivales de Sceaux. Her works are also featured at Louis Vuitton in Orlando (USA) and Daejon (South Korea). In 2025, she will be a resident at the Picasso Museum in Antibes and in 2024, she received a research grant from Adagp.
She is a member of the Taylor Foundation and the Cercle de l'Art (a community of artist entrepreneurs founded by Margaux Dehry) in 2023.
