Artists' residency from 14th to 24th September, exhibition from 25th September to 13th November.

Glass blowing is his passion. A passion born at the age of 13th when he started working on this material with his uncle in the Alpes Maritimes. Very quickly, he was introduced to the perilous techniques and the burning magic of blown glass and decided to go further by combining metals and wood to create singular works.

Today, it is in his splendid Landes showroom that this incredible sculptor, glassmaker and plastic artist handles bronze, concrete, metal or burnt wood that he puts at the service of blown glass, and presents colorful traveling creations of onirism. Elegant sculptures designed for the interior or larger rooms designed for private gardens or public spaces.

Xavier Carrère’s works are fascinating both in form and colour, and all correspond to periods of his life « like the desire to breathe, through matter, things that are beyond him ».

In a perpetual search for balance, beauty and emotions, he delivers an imaginary world dotted with pieces that have for names Big Bang, Ovolite, Silences & Monoliths, Links, Expressions & around the void, Erotica & Constructions, Bulls & Dissections… all provided with eroticism and sensuality.

This universe, he skillfully declined to embellish the daily life with tables, wall lights, window grilles, portals, in materials that resist the weather, to apprehend like exceptional sculptures.

For this poet of transparency, blowing the glass is a breath of oxygen that he invites you to breathe, by appointment, in his magic bubble.
