    Artist dynasties are rare.
Ceramics, an art form several millennia old, has seen numerous artistic lineages and transmissions over the centuries. But in the contemporary era, the Caprons, ceramists spanning three generations, are an exception.
What is most remarkable is that each of them developed their work completely independently of the others. Together, the four of them bear witness to the evolution of studio ceramics, which has become an art form in its own right, where skill is no longer the goal of excellence, but rather the means to express a personal language.

Today, it is the work of Louis Capron that is being celebrated. A self-taught artist, he developed a unique sculptural style.

His work, based in particular on the assembly and interlocking of
fragments of stoneware, gives rise to powerful and
    monumental sculptures.

The exhibition thus brings together the works of Louis, Roger, Jacotte, and
Philippe Capron, creating a dialogue between four unique perspectives on ceramics
and three generations of the same family.
A shared heritage, four distinct artistic voices.
