    Some of our contemporaries have a phobia of spiders. However, until the early 20th century, spiders were considered lucky charms, as evidenced by numerous postcards.
    It was after the First World War that spiders began to be portrayed in a negative light: devilishly hairy, blood-sucking creatures... Spiders were depicted with the faces of individuals considered harmful to society.
