"The object of the moment": The lead tablet of Antipolis

  • This second edition of ‘L'Objet du moment’ (Object of the Moment) unveils a lead tablet inscribed with Greek letters discovered in Antibes in the late 1950s. Long interpreted as a curse, it is in fact a commercial letter dating from the 5th or 4th century BC.
    This presentation, accompanied by tactile adaptation tools and an immersion in the sounds of the Greek language, will also allow the public to discover two other inscribed lead tablets:
    a genuine spell tablet discovered in Olbia...
