A stone path to reach the Garoupe Plateau

The view from the Garoupe plateau is breathtaking, and deserved efforts to get it.

From the parking lot of the Salis beach, follow the promenade and James Wyllie Boulevard, pass the small port and take the Calvaire road (right in the turn) to the Garoupe plateau and the orientation table. The return to the beach can be done by the asphalt road. Take the road to the Lighthouse and then the avenue Aimé Bourreau on the left until Grand Bacon Boulevard to reach Calvaire Road and the seaside. You can also use the stone passage between the lighthouse road (in front of the public toilets) and Aimé Bourreau Avenue.

The Garoupe Woods

The path allows you, before arriving at the Plateau, to access the Garoupe Woods, which is one of the remarkable green bower of the city, heritage of the Littoral Conservatory. You can also access the wood by the lighthouse road and the Notre Dame road, then return to the seaside by the Ermitage road and the Salis avenue.

Not to be missed: the Garoupe chapel and its collection of ex-votos, the lighthouse (one of the most powerful in the region) and especially the magnificent panorama. From the Calvaire Road, access to the Garoupe woods.
