Photographs by Michel Eisenlohr Palmyra Images of Syria

Temporary exhibition: Eighteen photographs of the Roman city of Palmyra have been selected for the exhibition. Immersed in the collections of the Museum of Archaeology in Antibes, with which they resonate, they are suitable for the visitor to a motionless journey, closer to the ancient works.

"Invited in 2002 to the Aleppo Photography Festival, Michel Eisenlohr decides to take the road from Marseille. Like the writers who made their «journey in the East» in the 19th century, he apprehends this territory over the kilometers: Aleppo, Damascus, finally Palmyra and the desert.
